Gehry Museum

Future Science Museum designed by Mireu Seo

“You've got to bumble forward into the unknown.”
-Frank Gehry

I owe this exterior design of a science museum to one of my heroes Frank Gehry. Not to imitate Guggenheim Museum but to create something that looks slick and futuristic as Guggenheim Museum, I started drawing some vague looks of what future science museum may have.

“Architecture should speak of its time and place, but yearn for timelessness.”
-Frank Gehry

The picture up here is taken from the top of the museum's 3d model. Please, pay close attention to the combination of smooth lines and unconventional edges. It is not only futuristic but versatile, as it is designed to collect rainwater to recycle and contain more heats during the wintertime. Solar panels on top would not be distinguishable because of the glassy look that the museum has.

“The best advice I've received is to be yourself. The best artists do that.”
-Frank Gehry

It is the right side of the museum. You can see the corridor leading to the museum. The electronic billboard will be installed upon the entrance. The museum sign will be made of one panel of an electronic billboard showing bright yellow color as it is in the picture.

“In the end, the character of a civilization is encased in its structures.”
-Frank Gehry

On the backside of the museum, it will look like an alien ship that landed on earth, having a unique look that no other museums have. Communion or outdoor events can be held here.

“I would like to make a building as intellectually driven as it is sculptural and as positive as it would be acceptable to hope.”
-Frank Gehry

If the museum is built somewhere like California, it would probably look just like this. Breezing sea winds and the bright sunshine will collaborate with the museum perfectly, giving the world an example of what happens when the great arts meet great weather.
